The best new artists to listen to this week

Every week we search for the best new artists for you to hear, and update our Eventim Picks New Artists playlist with new tracks. This week we’ve added Swiss based singer with Sri Lankan roots Priya Ragu, energetic female quartet LIME and more. Find out more about these artists and listen to the playlist below. 

Liverpudlian four-piece DENIO’s sound is influenced by the likes of Mac Demarco, MGMT, Tame Impala and Jungle, as well as '80s band, Talking Heads, This is all mixed with band members Daniel and Andres’ Venezulean roots and British lyrics. They released their latest single, Dreaming, in May.

London-based BERWYN, is a Trinidad-born multi-instrumentalist, singer and rapper. Through his eye-opening perspectives, his music uses experiences of growing up in London, combined with soul, rap and electronic R&B. He appeared on Later with Jools Holland last week and dropped his latest track, Glory, in May.

Swiss-based singer with Sri Lankan roots, Priya Ragu, gives her own modern take on soul music, taking influences from Ms. Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Solange and Oddisee. Her latest single, Good Love 2.0, was released in January – we’re hoping to hear new music from her soon.

South London producer and songwriter Saint Jude’s club sound is influenced by Four Tet, Floating Points and Jamie xx. The 20 year-old released his debut EP last year and he dropped his latest track, Keep The Light Inside the House, in April.

LIME is the energetic female quartet breaking genre boundaries, mixing post-punk, indie and surf music to create their own unique sound. You can hear this on their debut single, Surf N Turf, which they released earlier this year.
